Tim is a Consulting IT Specialist, or “Client Technical Professional” for IBM Sales and Distribution in the US IOT, covering the North East Region for WebSphere on System z. Tim focuses on technical training and skills transfer to IBM’s mainframe customers enabling them to utilize the full range of IBM WebSphere’s software catalog to fulfill their business goals and challenges, with a particular emphasis on batch modernization and high-throughput data processing. His primary industries include telecommunications (wireless and wired), financial, and insurance.

Tim is also an instructor of Software Engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY (his alma mater, class of 2002/2004). Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering while teaching undergraduate courses in software programming, project management, agility, and design. His PhD research covers API design using meta-data programming techniques. As part of this research, Tim also serves on the Expert Working Group for JSR 352: Java Batch.

Tim is also a husband to Josephine, an expectant father, an avid bicyclist, a cigar and bourbon enthusiast, RFID enabled, a weekend mechanic, and wanna-be handy-man around the house.
